CHILDREN OF THE WORLD
CHILDREN OF THE WORLD
Children of the world hear our cries,
Heed it before silence dies,
Lost in the grove of misery and despair,
Hear it before our tears dry.
Thrust forth your hand, propel yourself out
Of the profound darkness of ignorance and doubt,
Out of the lost woods of evil and fences,
That hath deprived you of your senses
Your essence of pain and understanding
The voices, the pines that today are demanding.
Children of the world save our souls,
From the terror that in us we hold,
Bring us back, into the light,
Out of this suffocating night.
Look towards the better, search out your way,
Stay close, stay together and do not stray,
Look out for love that yearns to be there,
Gaze out for achievements and do not despair.
Children of the world hear our song
Of hopes unborn and distances furlong
Our unsaid lyrics are born in thee
Our imprisoned melodies we trust you free.
Feel the sorrow, feel the pain,
Feel the depravity that all we gained,
Our broken hearts, our nurtured fears,
To our selves our condoling tears.
Children of the world come to aid,
Come before our bodies laid,
Our miserable pleas these deafening winds astray
Out of our hearts and soul away
Come before our longings die
Come, struggle, aim and give a try
Children, before our searching eyes,
Lost in the world of none ness and valance,
Come children come, hear our cry!
Children of the world hear our cries,
Heed it before silence dies,
Lost in the grove of misery and despair,
Hear it before our tears dry.
Thrust forth your hand, propel yourself out
Of the profound darkness of ignorance and doubt,
Out of the lost woods of evil and fences,
That hath deprived you of your senses
Your essence of pain and understanding
The voices, the pines that today are demanding.
